Matchbox Magic!
April 26th, 2009 by Amanda

Here’s some fun projects I created last week for my upcoming Matchbox Magic class Saturday, May 9! I LOVE this die and can see so many different projects I’ll be able to create with it. The first one I tried was my mini dresser. STINKIN’ CUTE! I can’t tell you how long I’d been wanting to make one of these. Way before the matchbox die came out. The thought of all the scoring and assembling just detered me from ever doing it. UNTIL NOW!! How easy it is when it’s all cut out and scored for you with just one crank through the Big Shot! Oh…the options are endless.
Here’s a close up view of the mini dresser:

Cute, huh? Can you see coordinating earrings and bracelet in there? How about some cute hair pins and barrettes? ADORABLE! But, I tell ya…a cute second is this sweet lil’ mini purse with note cards. Here’s a close up:

And the final project for this upcoming class is the lovely chocolate-filled butterfly box.
But here’s the question of the hour? How come, when you only need four chocolates to fill the matchbox, you go out to BJs Warehouse and buy the biggest bag of chocolates you can find? And, before you know it, you and your husband almost finish the bag before the class–almost two weeks away? Huh? HUH? Man, good thing I counted out enough chocolates for my class! Otherwise, I’d have to go out and buy more…..AT THE WAREHOUSE STORE AGAIN, of course!
Chocolate and stamping–go hand and hand. And who cares if your card stock gets stained from chocolate fingers. I don’t! HA! The only thing I ask is if you send me a chocolate stained card, there had better be some chocolate accompanying it so I can partake with you! HA!
Okay, enough blabbering—here’s the beautiful chocolate box. Isn’t it true that it’s all in the packaging?

The class only fee is $20 which includes all materials including buttons, rhinestone brads, Filigree brads, acetate, chocolate and Designer Paper.
Hope to see you there!!
