UPSY DAISY TANGO IN TANGERINE

October 3rd, 2008 by Amanda

Created this juicy card for my club classes last month and it was a hit! A lot of my stampin’ pals are now proud owners of the Upsy Daisy set! Ha ha ha! I’d seen the chocolate chip/tangerine tango color combination on a swap card and almost drooled. So,when I decided to create this card I knew I’d be using the combo with the Floral Background set on that lucious new tangerine in color. I LOVED THE WAY IT CAME OUT!!

To create the sunglow, I used the 1" Circle punch to make a sticky note mask to place over the Upsy Daisy flowers I’d stamped in Chocolate Chip. I then sponged a light layer of Regal Rose ink all over the flower image and went back with another layer of Tangerine Tango sponging around the masked sun and edges of the vanilla cardstock. I then lift off the mask and dabbed some more Regal Rose to blend it into the rest of the scene. This was then layered on chocolate Chip card stock and glued to the top flap of the Chocolate Chip backed Floral background. Vanilla Hodge Podged was added to accent as well as to hold the corner of the flowered flap in place. A little natural hemp was the finishing touch!

Ingredients:

Stamps: Floral Background, Upsy Daisy & Sincere Salutations

Card Stock: Tangerine Tango & Chocolate Chip

Inks: Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Ship and Regal Rose
